Cape May County Association of REALTORS® website wins the 2006 Member Communications Award - Electronic Category

Earlier this year I had launched the new website for the Cape May County Association of REALTORS®.  The main goal of the site was to create a better presence of timely information for association members.  The original site required hand-coding in any new information, making it cumbersome at the very least to keep up to date.

I had implemented a custom Content Management System to allow for information that is split between the public side of the site and the Agents only portion.

Anne Sanderson and I worked closely together to make sure that the site was easy to update and was performing exactly as the Association had hoped.  Our efforts made it simple for her to keep the site up to date.

The New Jersey Association of REALTORS® requested that they be given an account on the site to give it a personal review.  Much to my surprise, they awarded the Cape May County Association an award - “Your members-only website captured the criteria for content, timeliness, appearance and user-friendliness to produce an effective member communications tool.”

All the pointless design awards in the world cannot match that statement.  A true congratulations goes to Anne Sanderson for her continued efforts in making sure the site remains the tool that it is described as, and also demonstrates that a clean simple interface will win over users every time.
