Project Goals

Belldon Development of Blue Bell, Pennsylvania had created a stunning community on the beach in WIldwood Crest, New Jersey.

The homes they had created were unique to the Jersey Shore in their attention to detail and style. They needed a strong web presence to properly showcase the homes to potential buyers.

Another local company had made the original site using Flash in 2004. Over the 3 years it was in existence, maintenance costs were generally high, and the company that produced the original site kept the source files under a tight lock and key.

They realized they needed a more flexible solution that would allow for management by their own staff to remove maintenance costs. They also desired a cleaner, simpler, more modern and elegant design.

Solution Provided

Sites by Joe considered the company's goals and recommended building a standards-compliant site that used HTML/CSS for layout instead of Flash. This would better serve the website by making it available to be read by all search engines (which Flash would not), as well as making it available to all devices, like cellphones and PDAs.

Sites by Joe also suggested they incorporate a custom Content Management System built around their specific needs and information. This would allow for simple updates moving forward with only a small investment.

The site was designed to be quick and informative. Simple to use, logical, beautiful to the eye, and genuinely enjoyable to use. These are traits that unite to form an excellent website.
