I was supposed to write a detailed summary of the original goals of this site, the solution that was provided, an overview of the technologies used and more, but it looks like instead I'm busy building new websites that will eventually require a similar write-up that I'll put off doing, with the result being this space-taking message.

Imagine what the houses in your town would be like if there was no building code or certificate of occupancy that would need to be awarded in order to occupy the home. It would be a big mess! Houses falling down, poorly implemented systems throughout, contractors with little or no knowledge of best practices building homes, you get the picture.
Sadly, thats the current state of the web. Fortunately, the greatest nerds on earth have all agreed to create a set of web standards that govern the best practices of all things on the web to ensure not the highest level of accessibility and longevity.
