Regular Expressions and MySQL

I like solutions. Maybe thats why I'm in the problem solving business.

Here's a problem. I have a field in my MySQL table with an array in it. I needed a fast way to scan through the array for a match during a query without having to write a complex nested query.

REGEXP to the rescue.

Here's my query (CodeIgniter syntax):

return $this->db->query("SELECT * FROM pages WHERE section REGEXP '$section'");
