Yes, reminiscing is great fun. You do it when meeting with old friends over a beer. Sometimes you think of an embarrassing situation from long ago that was devastating when it happened.

Now you laugh about it.

Conversely, there were those things that you thought were SO cool when you did them, but now you are embarrassed to think of them.

Here's the perfect example:

First Parrothead Screenshot

The first website I ever made....Parrothead Realty of Avalon, NJ, circa 199X... (taken from archive.org)

Yes, its awful in every way. It uses frames, the background of the main frame is actually a photo of the parrot wallpaper in the company owner's office. All the text is accidentally bolded.

Any memory I have of the site I now laugh about - from the fact I used Frontpage to make it, to the fact I didn't even realize you could put information in a database and connect to it. I imagined a room full of monkees manually updating weather sites etc. Too funny!

I guess its not THAT bad, in fact within a couple months I had dropped Frontpage and was writing everything in Notepad...ouch!

Here's the updated version - circa 2001: (again, taken from archive.org)
