Project Goals

Tom Welsh is a well known builder in the Sea Isle City and Avalon areas. He's been building quality homes on both islands for many years.

His track record of success without a website left the original desire for one at the bottom of his to-do list. Meanwhile, most if his competitors were finding their way online.

Many people he encountered were asking whether he had a website or not, and often disappointed when he explained he didn't.

Tom decided it was finally time, and after sitting down to discuss the concept of the site, we agreed that people being able to visit his site, learning about his history in the area and viewing his available projects and properties for rent would be the only way to go.

Solution Provided

This was Sites by Joe's first commercial website built using PHP/MySQL on top of Code Igniter, an open source PHP framework. This combination lent itself well to the design of the site's custom content management system, which allows Tom's own staff to keep the site easily up to date.

All the properties for sale have automatic Google Maps attached, lightboxed photos upon mouse click and well organizes information to make browsing them a pleasant experience.

His rental properties have a rental spreadsheet that allows his staff to even display up to date availability on the rentals.

Sites by Joe has not had to to a single update on this site since it's launch saving Tom a considerable amount of carrying costs for the site.
